Director General of the State Committee on Archives of Ukraine Oleksandr Udod met with the Vice-president of Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe Aleksander Biberaj. In the framework of preparation the report for the next Parliamentary Assembly's meeting Mr. Aleksander Biberaj visited Ukraine for consultations with statesmen and scientists (that is historians, archivists, demographers, lawyers) on the Holodomor theme.
Director General informed the PACE's representative that Ukrainian researches collected the sufficient scientific-documentary base which gives the opportunity to call Holodomor the genocide of the Ukrainian people. Ukrainian archivists published thousands of documents, found out a lot of archival materials, collected more than 230 thousands eyewitness's certificates about the Holodomor of 1932-1933. These documents prove the fact of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine, show methods of its realizations and help to set an amount of the victims

Director General of the State Committee on Archives of Ukraine Oleksandr Udod took part at the international scientific conference "Holodomor 1932-1933 in Ukraine: reasons, vital results, legal estimation", organized by the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, Institute of Demography and Social Researches, Institute of History of Ukraine under an aegis of the UNESCO.
He reported about the state archives activity in the field of widening up the Holodomor documentary database
