The Cental State Archive of Public Organizations of Ukraine has received from Switzerland the archival documents (1943-2000) of Bohdan Gavrylishyn, a well-known public figure, member of Roman Club, the President of International Institute of Management. CSAPOU and B. Gavrylishyn have signed an agreement on systematization and preserving the archival holdings. In addition, of great interest is B. Gavrylishyn's correspondence with L. Kuchma, V. Yushchenko, L. Kravchuk, V. Chornovil, O. Moroz, Ye. Marchuk, R. Prodi, J. Soros and others. The collection also contains the publications on Ukraine in the foreign press, the records relating to culture and science.

  1. The methodical recommendations in terms of collecting verbal evidences of the Nazi occupation of Ukraine during WWII;
  2. The Code of Ethics of public employees assigned to carry out the tasks of the State, the authorities of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea as well as the local government.
    Besides, the draft of the Concept of Archival Electronic Records Preservation was considered.

In accordance with the Cooperation Agreement between the archival services of Ukraine and Hungary (2001) and the Cooperation Agreement between the Archivists Associations of Ukraine and Hungary (2005) two groups of Hungarian archivists visited the State Archive of Transcarpathian Oblast on May 23-27, 2005.
The first group of 50 archivists of Budapest City Archive headed by Mr L. Varga, the Director, visited the State Archive on May 24-25, 2005.
The second group represented by Mr B. Gottfrid, the Vice Director General of a regional archive, and Ms Sh. Tolna Brown (both are the members of the Archivists Association of Hungary) visited the oblast archive on May 23-27, 2005.
The Ukrainian and Hungarian archivists have agreed to meet in Budapest in autumn 2005 to discuss the draft of the Cooperation Agreement between the State Archive of Transcarpathian Oblast and Budapest City Archive

The exposition contained the copies of the archival holdings of the Central State Archive of Supreme Bodies of Power and Government of Ukraine, the Central State Archive of Public Organisations of Ukraine, the Central State CinePhotoPhono Archive of Ukraine after H. Pshenychny, books and leaflets of the Reference Library of the Central State Archives of Ukraine displaying preparation and conducting all Congresses, from the 1st one in December, 1917 up to XIV Extraordinary Congress in January, 1937. The President of Ukraine V. Yushchenko, the Speaker of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine V. Lytvyn, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yu. Tymoshenko and other top officials visited the exhibition before the opening of the Meeting

The top management of the State Committee on Archives of Ukraine and M.Lubkivsky discussed the optimal implementation ways of the Directive of the President of Ukraine "On Immediate Measures Relating to Preservation of the National Archival Heritage of Ukraine", in particular, the reconstruction prospects of the central state archival institutions of Ukraine
